Hi guys,

just thinking, is there any alternative to the remote fob for the Terrano? I have the small black fob with two rubber buttons forming a circle. The rubber buttons are rubbish (I have already replaced with new fob from ebay).

When I press the buttons, I either have to dig my fingers in or it randomly works ok - I could be wrong but I get the impression its the rubber not making contact with the micros switch..

anything I can do??

I've got one of those now and having no problems with the buttons

If you'd like something that doesn't use rubber buttons try one of these and pair it to the module in the car

Instructions to do it can be found here;

make sure you get the right frequency though as there are two tyoes, 418MHz and 433MHz, it's 433MHz for the Terrano and Maverick

Remove your steering shroud and the box will be in there with the frequency printed on the white sticker

Mine was the same so cut a tiny bit of card & put it between the rubber & the micro switch & it worked great until the micro switch packed in common fault:doh

Banshee....I bought one the same as the link you posted. picked it up this morning and programmed it, works a treat!! Its a plastic remote, so no stupid rubber, problem is SOLVED!
