Red how blower motor wires

Red HOT blower motor wires:doh:doh


Ok, it's a lovely sunny day just now and I had the blower on full blast keeping us cool got home, was curious to see how hot the fan motor got. It's warm but not hot, the wiring on the other hand.......err well......it was red hot. The wire was a little sticky, and really easy to bend and the multipin conector was soft burned the crap out my fingers as I didn't expect it to be so hot. It's like it's pulling to much current. And ideas, ? I have 2 other motors

Stick an ammeter in series first easiest way to find out. Maybe do the same with one of your other motors connect for an easy comparison, if its still high start checking connections.

Also is it possible that know one else has had there blower on full for such a long time.:nenau

does the fan on cold actually do much, I just cruise around with the windows open. Which is very cool.
