recovery straps - what length?

looking at getting some straps, but unsure what length to get, dont want to end up getting some for them to be too short, or too long?

I carry a 5m strop rated at 7 tonnes touch wood never needed anything longer or rated higher

a 5m should suffice for laning. The strap should not be rated more than the recovery points or shackles, But who follows that to the T?

As long as you can get :thumbs

You can shorten a long strop

But

You cant lengthen a short strop.!
