hi guys has any1 done a rear wheel bearing on a terrano got to do mine tomorrow any pointers thanks

done plenty on other motors over the years, but not on a T2 as yet, first is how to get old bearing off, old method smack outer bearing with lump hammer till it breaks then apply oxy torch till inner race red hot, then hit hard with sharp chisel, this expands the race and it can be pulled of, to drive new on requires a scaffold poll or similar, new method, buy expensive special tools, Rick

got the oxy torch ready just some pointer on how to best get the half shaft out really but thanks for replying:thumbs

Oh that is easy, wheel off, shoes off, back plate bolts off, brake pipe off, withdraw plate/shaft assembly from axle, that is the easy bit, Rick
