I was looking at Spring spacers, and see that the ones for the Nissan Terrano / Ford Maverick are also listed as fitting the Isuzu Trooper, Vauxhall Frontera and Monterey. This set me wondering if the spacer is the same size, maybe one of these cars has a longer rear spring as standard.

So the Spec for the T2 LWB rear springs are, depending on where you look, around:-

Length: 405 mm 417 425
Diameter: 134 mm 132 131
Diameter 2: 15 mm 13.5 13.5
Number of Coils: 8.9 8.3 8.35

So basically, there seems to be a lot of tolerance on what can be used.

Now for the Isuzu Trooper 93-04, the spring is,

Length: 437 mm
Diameter: 133 mm
Diameter 2: 13.25 mm

So my question is, it did not take long to find out that info, so what would be wrong with getting a set of Trooper springs and putting them on the back of my T2, or better still, some other correct size springs, that would give me a 3" lift, maybe even ones from a landrover!!! which would be a lot cheaper than buying the currently listed LWB +2" or +3" rear springs for the T2.

Depends on the spring rating.
Might be to hard or soft which will affect handling.

Woah, hey, wait minute, *squints eyes* I didn't seen a swear did I? :naughty

Good detective work though! :clap
