I think these would do the job :

An extra 3" downwards travel would be spot on for awesome articulation, combined with body lift

Unsure on thread compatibility tho ...

well yeh, they would alow your axle to droop lower. The bit of lost travel at the top wouldn't be used anyway surely as the axle would hit the bump stop first ?

But they can only drop the length of the stroke of the shock.

cant see how they would increase length at all because of the way the shocks bolt on

from the side would maybe work if they bolt on from the top or bottom but not with the setup they are in.

indeed, but the length of the shock plus 3" of the extender

ah, indeed, i was thinking they bolted through with a bush and washer rather than this eyelet :doh

front ones do

but to make them longer would be pointless as the bush sits at the very bottom of the spindle bit

The whole point of longer travel shocks is to let the axle move further, in BOTH directions hence increasing articulation or flex. That's what gets you over big holes etc and do this

That's what I was saying these extenders only lengthen the overall lengh and nothing to the most important travel unlike ur 2" extra shocks:thumbs

You have given me something to think about here, for the sort of off road play that I do, why do I need shocks at all, perhaps makeitfit will comment on this, Rick

They stop your axle falling off :lol However you could run without them I guess if you clamp your springs in place top and bottom and maybe some sort of check strap to keep the axle from ripping off your brake pipes etc. Less bother and more comfortable to leave the buggers on :thumbs

Ah right see your point, I will leave them on, bottle of wine clouds the thought processes, have a great evening, what is left of it, Rick
