Hi, rear seat belt keeps jamming!
Is it safe to squirt WD40 or similar inside, or does it need to be stripped apart?
Works ok at times and too good a condition to dispose of/replace (unless unsafe to keep)
Any advice welcome - Paul
On my Maverick it does, on the top fitting there is a button facing forward, press it in and the belt clip can move up and down on the door pillar.
If you look behind the belt on the plastic trim you will see the slot. If no slot, then yours doesn't adjust.
Best regards, Rustic
think the rears jamming is a design feature, dont know why bbut mine always did
very sensitive, often had to fully rewind then be very gently pulled out, and then
further than needed once happily clicked to receiver than slack rewound.
Recently had the same problem on my car. Removed fitting found lots of Spanish sand dust on it. Cleaned best I could , pulled seat belt out to full extent squirted WD40 inside, exercised belt in and out Did not take apart. No problems since.
