Hi my rear parcel shelf has been missing since i brought the truck have tried several breakers but seem hard to get has anyone got an old one or know of one

Hi, I think that the parcel shelf on the LWB was an optional extra, so its not missing... prob never had one!

Good luck with your venture... Ive been looking for one for 12-months with no luck!!!

You could always go to Nissan..... pull your pants down to your ankles and touch your toes!!!! :augie

If it's any help to either of you have a look at the website www.partfinder.ie There is a listing for a parcel shelf for a 2004 model and a few listings for 2002models. Don't know if these will fit or not. Unfortunately they are all in Ireland. Don't know if you can make e-mail enquiries with them but they do list phone numbers. Some of the breakers are not too far from me if collection is necessary and I could send them on if you refund the postage.

Hi Ady,
I had the same problem; no way to keep prying eyes out of the cargo area.
So.. I made one! 2 pieces of 12mm ply covered in pvc leatherette, does the job for not much outlay.
If its not cold & crappy outside tomorrow, I'll take some pics for you or if you are around Norwich (NR5 8LD) you're welcome to come and take a look.

It easier to handle in 2 pieces, although I am undecided on putting hinges on the undersides between the 2 sections to make it fold over on itself. In any event the weather is going to have to warm up a bit before I pay any more attention to it!
FYI The sections are bog standard 12mm ply covered in 10mm polyester wadding on the top and around the sides and then covered in PVC leatherette.
The tough part was cutting the radius to fit close to the rear door so as not to leave a gap....

I managed to find one last year on the well-known online auction site....cost about £30 though.

The retractable cover has small triangular plastic pins on the end and these seem to be a weak point - one of mine snapped off and I had to drill it out/countersink and refit with a self-tapper.

Like the homemade version, impressive job! You could even fit extra speakers in that...

Scott the facelift version (MkIII and IV) isn't like the roller blind one on the MkII - its a folding jobbie a bit like the nice one that Ray has knocked up, except his is ten times better looking! The original one locates with two plastic lugs either side that sit in recesses in the side rails and can be folded over on itself 3-4 times.

Nice one Ray - you could knock a few of those out for a profit i reckon!

The story behind it:
I went to the local timber merchants to buy some sheet ply for some other work (my boat), when I went to put it in the back of the Terrano the 1220mm width dropped, nee, fell, very nicely into the recess for the OEM cover. That got the grey matter churning and a after couple of hours of measuring & jig sawing; viola, It keeps my stuff out of the sight of would be opportunists.

The panel nearest the seats is easiest as its just a rectangle, the panel to the rear has a couple of fiddly cuts and a curve to match the closed door.

About a tenner's worth of ply.
If you have one of those big "The Range" sheds near you the covering material is about 2.50/meter. I think I bought 3 meters.
Also available in other lurid colours!

I don't fancy starting a Terrano rear parcel shelf cottage industry, however someone else may; so I hereby place the copyright in the public domain. enjoy:lol

I am currently doing an internal re-fit & re-wire & re-....... It may take a while yet....no time for any more parcel shelves!
