Simple, But effective :thumb2

My rear bumper carrier was battered and the number plate holder was bent to hell, so i removed the plate and fixed it here. No number plate light but will see if plod notice before i do anything about it, will just put it back at mot time

hope you told your insurance about it? :D

I stuck mine to the right of the wheel carrier.

how do you tow:augie

Tow bars are for Queers :lol

Seriously tho, i just bolt it back on and the wiring is tied up on the upper side of the rear left chassis

But I took it off about a month after I got the truck and Its not been fitted yet, as I dont tow. its an offroader ;)

I just bolt my tow bar on when needed but 90% of the time it's just hanging around
Mind you I binned the bumper too :lol
No fat arse on mine

that's where i'm putting my plate, reason is, i think a square plate they look better:D

i think the long plates look stupid, plus its been bashed a few times:augie

might put a bend on my exhaust and send it out the nearside behind the mudflap to aid clearance

you might want to remove the mudflaps first, they are more likely to catch, mine got ripped off :doh

its a pity nissan opted for plate there as when you look at towbar theres
a lot of metal work to clear plate.

noted latest shogun has plate on custom spare cover.

on my older t2 was looking at mounting plate either on door, fez/mistral
style, on spare cover or even top of door then having a custom receiver
towbar which would be much better for clearance, the receiver 'hole'
being roughly in centre of where plate was.

then either have a pintle for off road work and another with drop plate
for queer towing work lol

pity is type approval on newer trucks, s reg and later restricts this.

sure that when was studying construction and use, in public transport
vehicle designs a nearside exhaust, emitting to nearside rather than
just nearside of rear wasnt allowed.

ok the mav isnt a bus and this was based on the vehicle exhausting
toward pedestrians but thought would throw this in in case of vosa
querying the mod.

Sod VOSA  It passed mot :thumb2 I also know loads of Landies with near side body exit exhausts :thumbs
Anyway I'm only spitting out essence of chips and a whiff of lpg

fair enough, seen landies too, and pickups with bed mounted vertical stacks, not
always shielded like big rigs, best avoid bus stops eh.
