I know this has been mentioned before a few years ago, but there wasn't much info written down. can you get ladders to go on the back of a T2?, i'm looking to get a rack on top and if i do i want to be able to get up easier. if you can't get them would others be able to be modified to fit. i've seen some universal ones on ebay but to be honest i don't think they would look much good.
Any ideas..

suspect the easiest way would be to lose the spare wheel and carrier and use its mounting points?

I just climb up on the spare wheel, works just as well as a ladder and no added weight - but then I don't have a wheel cover on.

what!!! get feet marks on my chrome !!!

a chrome ladder sounds a lot better!

Maybe not chrome, i'm thinking something in black to match other bits. I've been looking at a ladder for a defender, but need to get dimensions to see if it will fit. Also i'll have to put it on opposite side to door hinges, will it affect the door in any way (stress on hinges) although i will use it with door closed.

its some thing that i have been looking into too but not had much time to really get into it.
its the position of the spare on the back door that stopped me from fitting one from a disco.
i was thinking about having one mounted under the roof rails which you pull out when needed.:nenau
