Rear diff for a 2003 2.7

Hi can anyone say if the rear diff on a 2003 2.7 is the same as a 98 Mistral, Timothy52 needs one, or we have a Maverick in Hastings will that be the same, cannot see any numbers on his diff to check, regards Rick

Thank you Plank, Timothy's one is built into the axle with an access plate on the rear, most others I have seen are conventional on a carrier bolted in from the front, but I do not know if a complete axle can be fitted, prop shaft length, brakes and other suspension fittings, Rick

didn't one member, in Eire if i remember right, fit a later gear box in an earlier car. Wasn't there something about prop shaft compatability in there? it might help shed some light?

Thanks Pete, but these are both of the carrier type that bolt in from the front, Tim's one goes in from the back, but it is possible that the whole axle will fit, I have been asking but no answer as yet, Rick
