Has anybody done a mod on the rear clusters as i now have a pair and need to make new lenses for them ?

any help would be good
ie where to obtain plastic either clear or coloured

come on chaps (and ladies)

Because they look a bit naff and i would like to upgrade the lights to led's and the lenses are BADLY cracked.

Can you not buy a cheap set of E-bay to mess around with?.
Not sure which ones you have already but you can buy smoked lenses too.

Mav.

Yes its the one that i bought off ebay that i'm messing about with as the lenses are cracked worse than the units that i have already !
when i e-mailed the seller he refunded all my money and said keep them !
So i am just asking if anbody had already done this before i make a start so i dont make a hash of it.

ps normal ones not smoked.

Be aware that for road use the lenses and the lamps (bulbs) have to be approved "E" marked. Fitting LEDs to replace bulbs may not be legal as after marked modifications. Look at the adverts for Automotive LEDs, they state for show room or off road use only.
Replacing approved lenses with red plastic would also not be approved.
Lenses are designed so that there is no glare and the light is evenly distributed over a wide viewing angle.
Insurance companies look for any excuse not to pay out.
Imagine a driver running into the back of you (normally his fault) claims he didn't see any lights showing to the rear.....
Companies spend lots of money on developing lenses for vehicles. Remember how poor the lights were on Classic cars.
Hope this helps.

Yes this is a help
What i am trying to achieve is more light output to the rear
will only use "E" bulbs but what my origional thread was to find lenses that are ok for the job.
