Rear Bump Stops

Just had the garage on the phone saying one of the rear bump stops is hanging off and they need to weld it on for it to pass the mot ?

True or False ?

I wouldn't think bump stops came into the MOT do they ?

IIRC bump stops don't come into the MOT :? But it needs welding back on 8O I think i'm right in saying this it's often the rubber brakes away for the metal mounting part :roll: So if it's loose you could cable tie it back into place as I have :smile:

god knows what they have done apparently it's back in place now, and he was adamant that it WAS part of the MOT ... anyway it's passed now ....phew

Yes its part of the test but wil only fail if they know there should be some there, so having just one is a no no.
