I have decided to change the rear shoes ,but can't see any on e bay. Are there more than one type,? :nenau
Do I need any other parts,sprigs seals etc?:nenau
I can't see a workshop download for this , has anyone done done this recently?
Any tips gratefully appreciated :thumb2

I think there are two different widths if I recall.

Take pictures before you start dismantling... :augie
They are not difficult, but easy to loose track of how it all fits together, and the auto adjusters don't really work anyway...:doh

I have always manually adjusted mine.
 
yes the 2000 and on are different to pre 99/2000 got the ones for Alex from local motor factor, and contrary to popular belief the auto adjusters on these are different and work, John when I did Alexes he took pics, so have a hunt, he did the thread, Rick
 
Any way of telling which I have , as mine is a 2000 so could be ether,is there a number on the drum or any thing like that ? :confused:
 
yes on the later ones they have done away with the HB tell tale on the back plate, this is bottom rear of the plate a pen sized plastic plunger about 15 mm protruding, HB on and it should push in fully, tap it it may be stuck, HB off it should be fully out, if you have this then it is pre 99/2000 if not it is later type, Rick
