Rear anti roll bar

The stabilizer control strut on the rear anti roll bar has excessive play in the ball joint, Nissan apparently want £1500.00 for a replacement does any body know of any cheaper alternatives or repair kits.

Not familiar with the part but any ball joint should be replaceable for a lot less dosh. What about a simple rose joint

Is this the disconnecting side bud? I know you can get a normal drop link for it and certainly Milners sell a normal L/H rear drop link for the Y61/GU but you'd need to take the whole disconnecting unit off to check if the fitting is correct (far as I know it looks like it will go).

I'm planning on taking my whole rear anti-roll bar off anyway as the disconnect won't work for ever and I've driven on the road with it off with no noticeable difference :nenau

We could buy 2-3 road legal ones here in the UK for that. Just shows Nissans ridiculous prices for new patrol parts

Just found one for £165+vat

said in good condition, so prefereed route at the moment.

Just shows never belive everthing that you are told sometimes they can be so wrong, I have been told that the rear stabiliser part is £1500 on a couple of occasions but just spoke to Nissan who ssay the cost is 471.24 still a lot of money but 1/3 the cost I thought.

Rear ARB MOT failure

Hi, newbie here. Having done a forum search I think this thread relates to my issue, advice please!
I seem to have a similar problem, my 03 patrol has failed MOT with rear anti roll bar linkage ball joint excessively worn.
Garage has told me they can only get a complete ARB/stabiliser kit, it comes from Japan and costs £2100!
No scrappers seem to have this. Any suggestions?
Could I do away with the switched stabiliser system? Is there a standard ARB I could use?
