Real Newbie Question

Ok a real newbie question but I want to drain some fuel out of my 03 Terrano. Can anyone tell me which pipe on the filter is the in pipe? the one nearest the bulk head or the one closest to the front of the car?

I've recently had this problem with my 04 plate

It appears that they removed the drain nut on the newer ones, you used to be able to get a socket through the tank guard and away you go

What I'd do is rip the pipe off the top fuel pipe on the bulkhead and put a length of 8mm ID pipe onto it with a priming bulb or similar which will then let you pump some fuel from the tank by hand

Make sure the bulb has a 1 way valve though or it wont do diddly :thumb2

there are variations, so the safest way is to trace the pipe from the filter to the IP, once you know which one that is, it will be the other that feeds the filter, simples, Rick

If you look on the aluminium Fuel filter casting, where the two pipes fit on, they have arrows moulded in, to show the in and out.
