Read: F. Paul Wilson - Healer
Because: It's a stunning take on immortality and the problems that come with it.

Listen: Mike Estes - The Horse Trader
Because: Possibly the finest live acoustic southern rock and blues session every recorded. Mike is ex-Lynyrd Skynyrd and a few others and his is the voice that these styles were created for.

See: Perfect Creature
Because: A truly unique treatment of vampiric society, religious crimes and the lone hero realising the lies, all wrapped up in a beautiful alternative Dieselpunk setting.

Hmmm, being a pleb and not a good reader of books , my list is pretty short and so easy to choose :lol
I'll have Douglas Adams "Hitch Hikers Guide to the Universe" . Content all made perfect sense to me back in the day, when I may have inhaled :splif
Listening is much more of a challenge as I've been a roadie, lighting tech and record shop security and general music freak (or is that Hippy ?)all my life. So I only got as far as A for the amazing "ARCADE FIRE" , boss
Film wise original 2001 Space Odyssey, confused the hell out of me on my 11th birthday and ever since or stage, the original "Rocky Horror Picture Show" :beer
