My radio needs to come out for replacement. It would appear there are many removal tools depending on radio make. Thats my problem. It just says Nissan on the front of the radio and nothing makes it clearer in the handbook. Help!!!!!! Its a 97 terrano.

radio removal

i took the centre part of the dash out of mine to remove the radio as there were no obvious holes to poke the removal tools in to unclip the radio.it was an aftermarket radio that was fitted in mine and it was bolted in from behind the dash.

i had the nissan one with 6 cd changer under the drivers seat.. the head unit was held in as elty's was. and my new ones held in the same.

just might need to getyourself an arial converter to fit the new one, i did and an ISO load, both from ebay..

Recently replaced the radio in mine. Different vehicle to yours but it may be a Nissan thing - as with yours there was no obvious way of removing the original factory unit so I removed the part of the dash in which it was located. I regard myself as fairly incompetent in these sort of things but managed to do the job without too much bother.

To remove the stereo you have to remove the centre part of the dash which is held in place by 2 screws behind the ash tray & 2 screws next to the heater controls, the top part next to the vents is held by 2 clips. Once you remove the centre dash the stereo is held in place by 4 screws (2 either side)
