Radio reception

So basically, my radio reception is ok.. Nothing too fancy but it does the job, i also want to swap for a CD player, in the mean time, does anyone know how to make a super dooper radio reception.

Unfortunately my only comparison is my neighbours/work colleagues 2003 range rover evoque (not a pay n play toy)

It just never ever looses signal, even in hanger lane tunnel...... Just fuzzed a small amount right in the middle of the tunnel...

Surely this would be a cheap mod?

I am about to change my roof aerial for a Wing mounted electric one, as like you, the reception is terrible. I could listen to the radio all the way through the Dartford Tunnel with no problems in the V70, but this "Bee Sting" on the T2, even with the longest end on, is fuzzy once you were part way in.

I have now found out, the LED lights on the back interfere with it as well, so once the side lights are on, I have no reception at all.

I will let you know how the fitting of the electric one goes.

Very interesting these, I was wondering about the very poor radio recpt. My last ride was a 96 Disco with an element aerial on the back window.....recpt. perfect....
So it sounds like an aerial replacement......sorry about the unintended pun....

I'm not sure its all about the aerial. I have the 2000 lwb with standerd aerial and radio and the reception is not great, I can get Radio 4 on long wave here in france but it is verry crackely and you loose it all the time.
In the 97 SWB i again have standard nissn aerial but a Pionear radio cd and it picks up every thing cristal clear even radio 4 and 5 live on MW

isn't the sea area near you biscay ? or is it plymouth ?

Yes Brittany is a peninsula north sea on one side bay of Biscay on the other

That makes two of us then... listen to " Sailing By" first at 12:45 am, how sad is that...:augie

Then it's on again at 5:20 am too... yipee..

Sends me to sleep, if it comes on the radio at 5:50 pm in the car I always switch it off, as I might just fall asleep as I have conditioned myself to do that...:doh
