Radio poor reception- in fact crap!!!

In the last few weeks my radio has more or less stopped working and seems to be deaf it picks up a strong signal ok but weaker ones are no use with result it scans but wont pick anything up , Tape player and cd plaeyer are working alright - its the Nissan Double din type fitted in the terrano 2 - any ideas?

check the aerial connector hasnt come adrift on the back of the radio , failing that , check the aerial/lead for damage

I assume its a wing mounted aerial.

Sounds like a poor signal check all leads especially the earth/coaxial where its bolted onto the wing. Likewise make sure the earth cable to the radio is good.

An extra earth on the radio chassis is always best rather than just the neutral in the connector block.

i had simular prob on my t2,i changed the aerial and now works fine,i suppose it must have been a dodgy connetion where the aerial screws on:thumbs
