radio facia fix

Hi guys it might help some guys who changed their radio like me.

On my 1996 mistral, I had the radio and at the foot the CD player. I decided to change my radio and basicaly end up with 2x 1 Din hole.

The foot one is generic and you can fit teh radio easy or buy a facia or pocket facia for less than €5.


the upper dash one is tricky and could not find a way to cover the hole as the dimension 19.5cm x 6.5cm (uk=8.5 X 2.5).

I made one myself and only bought a cheap "carbon fabric" on ebay.

Just puzzled why you didn't stick the stereo in the top slot though?

good question

three reasons:

- if you remember when I take off the dash I discovered the middle black support was broken and adding the radio on the top would be too heavy and could brake with the weight and vibration.

- the 1 din hole was too big for my radio, I tried first and it was too small for the hole so it went through. Was easier and quicker that way.

- I want to put my phone here, when I am driving nough
