Quick release winch mount

Well, I am no mechanical engineer, but I wouldn't have thought that would be strong enough, with say 13000 lb winch on it.
In my opinion, the weakest link is the round pin in a square hole, and the attachment of the round section to the tow bracket mount.
It might be fine for a direct in line pull, but any offset pull, say from the side or above will bend the fitting then fracture the weld.. in my opinion of course.

I would like to see what Fez, Makeitfit, Solarman or any serious off roader make of it.:nenau
Not something I would want to stand close to, when under serious recovery...

I think I would have to agree, putting the sort of load pressure, in `anger`, through a small area like that sounds iffy, especially if you think the lengths that have been reached by some forum members, to fit a serious size winch on the front of their Terrys..........:nenau
