going to index my torsion bars this evening but my drive way but its on a slope, can it be done or dose it have to be on flat ground?

always good practice to work on a vehicle on flat ground. Especially when jacking the vehicle up.

I'd opt for flat ground mate!!! Last time my dad jacked a car up on a slope it fell off lol and the axle stand ended up in the footwell as a 4th pedal :lol:lol:lol

Private message me if you get stuck mate and I'll give you my number as this is very fresh in my mind from just doing mine as it confused the fu*k out of me and took me 4 attempts lol, the 3rd time I did it I'm sure I lowered it by accident lol

nice one mate!! the drive way is the only place I've got to do it unless I wait till the weekend n load all me tools, jack ect in the truck n go round my mates, might just attempt it. its not a massive slpoe iv change shocks and break pads on there before

You don't need to jack up the vehicle to do it.

If the vehicle is level left to right, then do the same number of flats on each side.

In fact, you drive to a flat car park and slide underneath and do it, just protect your seats, wear old clothes, and have gloves or hand wipes.

Ah but to re-index, you need to take the torsion bars out of their holes
It's not just turning the adjuster Rustic :thumbs
That said, you can do one side at a time and be on a slope. Be careful though.
Just mark the splines first and refit 2 splines further on :thumb2

Jack the wishbones up to remove the torsion bars with ease :D
