Question about bumpers and winch mounts

I'm thinking of making up a new bumper but looking at pictures of the various replacement types, with and without winch mounts, I can't see how the bumper is mounted.
Do they use the original bumper mounts on the chassis and, if so, have they proved strong enough for winching?
If not how are they mounted?

Your going to have to make new mounts, the old fixing points will be the same though. Use some plywood and make some templates, wood is cheaper and faster to work with than steel.
Take the old on e off and you will be able to get an idea of what shape to cut to start you off.
All you need is the brackets to come out the front of the truck, you can decide how far, you may want to stand on them.
The old bumper bracket just wont be up to it when its all steel.
