Anyone here have one of these camera's.I am thinking of upgrading/adding my CCTV.I just wondered just how good they are.Starting from the cheapest all the way up to about 30x zoom.Ok I have read all the blurb/reviews.But sorting the truth from fact,is not as simple as all the blurb would have you believe.

all depends on the camera.

I have a cheap PTZ off ebay, and its easily better than some more expensive units on the market.
Mine is an IP camera, so I don't use a DVR etc, I rely on the email alerts it sends out upon motion sense. I have had them for years now, and they have been reliable and easy to use. I access them anywhere that I have internet, so when I am in the Gower near the sea, I just get high up, and use my phone to access my cameras. PTZ is invaluable, although mine don't zoom as such, just digital zoom which isn't great quality but for a £40 camera I aint complaining, point is I have spent very little and have a half decent bit of security that suits my needs.

Thanks for that Clivvy.I can view my home CCTV whilst away from home(Galaxy s2).So would you be able to connect your PTZ to a dvr?I just like the idea of checking my CCTV as and when
