well after 2 weeks of headaches trying to solve mystery with my truck starting problems , finally sorted , turns out that the second hand priming pump i replaced was also faulty , had diesel specialist out who replaced with new one .
the fuel was draining back to the tank overnight due to diaphram seal bust , lesson learnt from now on
1: never buy secondhand parts which have seals involved
2: when comes to changing filter again never to use the priming pump plunger to prime, fill filter with fuel manually , which i have always done in the past but used the plunger on this occasion . people have said about this problem before but personally have never had problem until now.
- 8 this morning and fired up on the button
anyway now happy that sorted just in time for the snow
