Primera 1.6 Petrol

Thinking of getting one of these for a runaround. Any known issues? Probably be a 1999 or 2000.

I used to have the earlier model on an N reg. If it's the same 16valve engine it'll be fine. A bit heavy on fuel but a nice car.

Never had a primera but had an 1998 Almera 1.4 which would appear to be relaively similar. It was very reliable and only problem I ever had with it was power steering pump went at around 100,000 miles. Cost me E 50.00 for a replacment second hand pump. and I got similar mpg to the toyota corolla I had before it.

I believe its a chain cam as well Liam, so that bits good for around 200k miles......and I think they make an excellent run-it-into-the-ground runabout that will do you proud.:thumbs
