Hello every one :thumb2 I've been putting svo in my truck for a short time, before i did I read that it can cause seals and rubber fuel lines to fail, nothing failed immediately but the other day I noticed fuel on my drive. It turned out to be two of the leak off pipes, £2.90 for some pipe and I replaced all the lot, even the longer length that goes down the side of engine to the whatevermybob :D

Should I be worried about my injector pump, it's a bosch.

I don't just post stuff without searching the forum first and I found the how to on replacing the rear rubber fuel lines from the tank.
Does anyone have any further advice?, or is there anthing else I should be aware of or change.
I'm also going to change the two rubber pipes that attatch to the filter, does anyone know what size they are?

As always any advice is appreciated, thanks, Mark.

Your pump will be fine, Bosch are as strong as an Ox, just don't try and run it too high a ratio unless you are heating it up :thumb2

The pipes from the filter to the bulkhead are 8mm ID, swap them for some clear pipe

As Banshee says, swap the two pipes from the fuel lines to the filter with clear pipe, it makes life so much simpler fault finding, and even pumping up the pressure after a filter change seems better when you can see what you are doing.

With regards to the leak off pipes, there are varying qualities of the pipe, I got some stuff off of Ebay, and within 2 months it had gone hard and split, so then got some from local motor factor, and been fine for 2 years. As far as you could tell there was no difference between the two.

Right, clear pipe, makes sense :thumb2

I got the leak off pipe from my regular motor factors, it was labeled as diesel leak off pipe and they have always sold me good quality stuff, but time will tell.

I'm hoping my heater plugs come today too, they should have been here yesterday from eBay, lousy service compared to you Clive :lol

I'm an impatient person, I was not a happy bunny yesterday when they did not arrive, but the Lucas ones are worth a wait I believe, I was tempted to get some blue print ones last week but stopped myself :D

Sounds stupid mate but do the jump lead test on the new ones too as I have seen new ones that have been fault out of the box :doh

Keep an eye on the two front to back pipes, from factory they're steel pipes so the oil won't make a difference however they do rot out and leak.

I know a guy that uses 100% veg oil, only problem he has is mice chew through his fuel lines.

I think I'll give them a clean and a check then, then back on with the underseal if they're ok :thumb2
