Coming to the end of a long drive yesterday I stopped briefly and noticed that the underside and back of my car as well as my trailer were covered in fuel oil. The rubber cap on the rearmost fuel injector had split and was spraying fuel freely, I must've lost about 3 gallons before I noticed it. Reading through past posts it's a common problem. It's maybe a good idea to change this cap, as well as the rubber hoses around the injectors as part of routine maintainance, I would've though every 2 years would be enough. replacement hoses and cap cost less than a fiver, but potentially a whole tankful of fuel could be lost within 20 miles.
