Hi, i have a powerdrain on my patrol. its 24v. whats happening is when the engines running 1 battery is charging and the other is dropping!my lights also get brighter when i rev it.any ideas...........please!

I would get your battery’s tested first if you haven’t as yet you may have a duff one pulling everything down.

To eliminate a faulty battery, swap them over and the symptoms will change.
If the fault stays, then there could be some 12 Volt appliances connected to one of the batteries..
How does the alternator charge them? is it a 24 Volt alternator or 2 x 12 volt alternators, if this is the case could be a faulty diode in the alternator.
worth a try.

Its a 24v alternator, just about to swap the batterys over, will keep you posted! cheers

Fixed it! Dodgey wire going from alt to batterys,ha no more jump starts.
Bargain, car cost £150 with 10 months mot n tax n cost me bugger all to fix!
