My R3mR has developed another wobbly rear end so had my local mechanic find the problem it was the offside long link arm bushes.

He did the offside arm and its having the other side done next week. Drove it today and its really horrible feels like rear end steer on one side only! He did not do the nearside as the bolts are seized and using heat is a problem due to fuel tank and pipes nearby.

Might have to revert to Nissan bushes on the offside if the nearside bolts will not shift. Shame because I like the polybushes.

Rear end woes

Had to remove Polybushes and fit Nissan bushes to offside long suspension arm as inbalance too great for this weekends trip to France.

Still far from perfect but guess that's due to nearside rubbers being 15 years old and offside being new ! A 60 % reduction in rear end wiggle when you lift off and its now only obvious at 50 mph rather then 30 mph. To be honest the Polybushes did give it a very hard ride.

Looks as though fuel tank and filler neck will have to come out to do the nearside as the old bushes need lots of heat to remove them. At the top end an angle grinder not suitable due to construction of the box section angle plates.

Tried the freezing stuff and no joy only red heat seems to work.

Anyone got any tips for removing the bolts & bushes ?
