I have just purchased a 1989 2.8 petrol LWB Patrol. What is it Y?

It has front and rear leafs, any easy way to lift this monster ?:bow

I have leaf springs front and rear, can I just make longer shackles ?:augie

you can , its not ideal but the other option is to put axels under leaf springs instead of on top but the one i saw was massive lift that way and looked stupid.

although the one i wanted recently . had leaf and i would have possibly done that :augie. . . lack of funds put a stop to that bargain

both will give lift, id be inclined to ask the local mot place what method they would prefer

An F Plate will be a Y260 MQ running a 2.8 turbo.

It will be leaf sprung all round, whereas the later were coil front. The stereo will be between the seats and the rear tailgate will split horizontally - glass top, door bottom. The lights with be square, with a plain black rectangular grill - possibly with a white or silver Nissan badge.

These are prone to Head Failure, so keep your water system flushed and clear, and keep the oil changed regularly. If they go, you will crack the head.
