Hello, After spending a weekend in and out of A&E and limping around after dropping the loading ramps for a plant trailer on my leg (have i been cursed?) I have popped to my house to post this.
I have acquired a retro Planet 2000 CB like this one:

It came with a long springy metal antenna on a mag mount, a swr meter, and original mike. I have adapted a power lead and run it from a spare car battery in the boot with the antenna on the roof and it all seems OK, though there is no one out there to talk to
So advice please, what do all the buttons do? how many amps does it use and so what size fuse? I would like a smaller antenna any advice?
or just anything you think of!
I'm not able to access the site very often, though i do have a new 'my-fi' device coming from 3 so i might be able too soon. I will read all your advice and comments but may not respond very fast.
