Hi all,

This is me making an effort to post a few small things I have done to the mav since I got it through MOT and got insured on it. Been meaning to do this for a while, as if anyone on here is like me they enjoy looking over a few photos of works/upgrades by others. If nothing else you can point out all the things iv done wrong! :)

Just a few there, more to come once I get them all organised!

Good work and pics:thumb2. I need to do some rust remedial work to mine:eek:

TMC, on your pics of the fuel tank, you have the filler and vent, then two pipes to the sender unit, 1 out 1 return I assume.

However, what is the other one, on its own on the top of the tank ?
I guess a fuel tank vent, but where does the pipe go, as water could be sucked in if too low.

Quick comment.
My UK sourced Mav had factory underseal in the wheel arches, yours looks like it was originally painted only.

I know there is a difference between imports and UK sourced.

best regards,

Rustic

You have done a great job there, that tank is going to have to be polished it looks that shiny :lol

Thanks for all the great comments!

Rustic,

I am trying to jog my memory as to what that was! Just had a quick look under the car (obv only so much I can see without getting dirty) There is a small filter that is attached to the side of the tank, a rubber pipe comes from the pipe you are looking at to the top of that filter. another rubber pipe comes from the bottom of the filter but I cannot see where it goes and from memory i would say it attaches up by the filler cap. so a vent with a filter?
