I have a petrol leak my maverick2.4 petrol swb .Had alook and there are 4 pipes running down the o/side on the inside two I know are brake pipes as i replaced them last year .
What are the other ones, one is petrol as it is leaking one of theese goes into a small unit and out the other side and carries on down the frameone crosses to the gear box ????
has any body got a drawing of the pipe layout or has any idea were they all go.
Also can you use rubber or plastic pipe with petrol????

Hi and welcome to petrol dejavu:augie The other pipe is the petrol return pipe. You can replace with rubber if it's the petrol type one otherwise you'll fail next mot:augie
When I did my petrol pipe I went back to the tank with new petrol pipe :augie, didnt take long. You'll need to lift the carpet at the back and then unscrew the small metal cover over the tank. That's where the end of the pipes are, easy:D

if its the same as my lwb tdi. i have 5 pipes

2 thin pipes (copper) brake lines

2 steel pipes of 2 diff sizes fuel flow and return. (like yours very rusty (what a stupid idea to salt the roads ;)))

1 fatish pipe going from a bleed point near the rear axel to a t near the gearbox (just rusted thru yest!) This is the hydrolic clutch pipe.
