Performance chip

Hi everybody, saw this item on ebay and was wondering has anybody fitted this before or do you think its a piece of junk, would like a bit more power from my Terrano II due to fitting bigger tires soon or any other suggestions on how to gain power would be very helpfull thanks Paul

I've seen it a few times & wondered :? I know with petrol motors it's easy but with TDI's i'm not sure. I don't know if you can up the boost preasure on the turbo like a petrol engine.
2 1/2 to 3" exhust system should give you about 3-7 bhp, induction kit about 4-10bhp. I just don't know about the fuel side of thins on TD's as i've always worked on petrols

Hi Sweety, thanks for that, not sure myself about it, the exhausts you are talking about I would love to change mine to chrome type and have a rumble come from it if you know what I mean, but not sure if you can get one for a Terrano II or were to start looking, Paul

Oh I know what you mean :lol: 8) I don't think anyone makes one off the shelf but you could just replace the back box or get a full stainless one made up from the turbo back with either one exit as you have now or twins (1 either side)as there is room :smile: plus it would be the last exhaust you ever buy for your motor 8) 8) 8)

there just a capacitor that you put in the thermastat plug and it thinks the engine is cold so overfuels sligtly there about 4 pence from maplin dont bother gettin one load of rubbish.

why dont you just turn up your boost ive done it on mine and it runs great and is well faster esp in 4wl when off road will climb any thing now

can you supply more info on turning up the boost, especially for a novice like me :!: -wor-

electronics on tdi may detect the extra boost and cause it to go into limp home mode think the proper tuning boxs tell ecu different story so it lets extra fuel and boost past the security safeguards!

ok just to make clear this mod is for the earlier td but i do have access to the tdi tunnin boxes i will get a price for you all

its still worth posting mate plenty mistrals and older cars on here for some reason mistrals still td quite late into range! a lot people with caravans would welcome little extra puling power!

Just a quicky for bluebell, powerflow will make you a stainless fifetime guaranteed exhaust system for your van, any tailpipe you like too. Used them myself lots and they are truely ace. Price for full system between £330 - £400.
Also where did you get your roof rack with lights i like that and think it would be functional on night stages
