It started as a small patch when I brought the car but now it's going mad :( I think I'm going to have to get my mate to flat it out and respray the roof, not too bothered what it looks like because I rarely look up there but its getting quite noticeable :(

Roof Peal

Saw a lot of this back in the 60s particularly on Fords Metallic Silver Sage.

Water has got between the colour coat and the lacquer methinks by osmosis.

Either that or it has been painted badly after it left the factory.

Maybe as it seem's to be around where you have drilled the roof but lacquer peeling is very common on cars anyway. If mine ever starts it'll be getting vinyl wrapped as it's cheaper than a respray plus have a mate who does it for a living:D

The laquer was peeling before I drilled for the loom and roof rails :/ I think I've just made it worse :( my mate reckons he'll be able to do a nice job on it for me :D

dunner worry about it.
unless you are fussy about how immaculate your truck is.
just cosmetics. sand and protect:thumb2

What roof problem

Unless you are 7 foot tall only passing helicopter pilots will notice!
