PC fOLLOWING A POWER SURGE.

On my system i have anti surge on main fuse box as well as between plug and pc. replaced powersupply as old one was struggling.Replaced unit pressed switch and blew 350gb hdd containing all mm data and routes.Did not touch the other2 hdd in pc. :? Having a great day. -banghead-

thats bad news mate. hope you've got it all backed up on dvd or online storage.

it might be possible to get a specialist data recovery done on hdd, if you cant read it now.

if the control board on the drive is gone... you might be able to get another control board and the data may still be there

But it has to be the same model of drive.
