Hi guys,

Merry Christmas (a bit late sorry...) but a happy and peaceful New Year....:D

Has anyone got one of the above, complete and in hopefully better condition than mine, which has fatigued/broken at the body mounting shoulder......:doh

All replies welcomed in advance.....:nenau

Thank you...:bow:bow

Jim,

Thank you for your message, sadly that is not the bracket I require.....:nenau

The bracket I require links the curve on the bumper in the wheel arch, to a mounting just forward of the suspension unit, clearing the wheel turn radius.....I will attempt to take and attach a picture tomorrow....got snotmonster lurghi at the moment and haven't stepped outside for 3 days.....:(

Hope you’re feeling better soon. I suspect it’s what I call side bracket but will look forward to your photo. Are you able to weld?

Those parts are not available John, but simple to fabricate if you can weld, Rick

Hi guys,

Thank you Jim and Rick for your replies...

a)Jim, still feeling grotty, but hey, it's winter, yes I can weld, but no facilities...but a mate in 4x4R can and does.....

b)Rick, not surprised they are not available, so I will take the broken one off, make up a template, and get my mate to fab one up...

Thanks guys...happy New Year to one and all...:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2

Yes it’s what I call side bracket and they all rot eventually. If you struggle to get it fixed you are more than welcome to call here and use my welder if you are visiting your relatives up this way.
Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Jim,

I think that M is threatening a GP appointment very soon.....

I thank you also for your kind offer of a welder, but as we will not be up your way until mid Feb.....I think I will have to get it fixed way before then...:lol:lol

I will wrap up warmly and get out, strip the bracket out, make up a template and get it to my mate asap....

Have a great New Year, and speak soon.

Both sides on my Terrano had cracked when I bought it at 7 yo! Easy to make new ones & I waxoiled them so they're still good 8 years later.
