Last time I measured my truck it sits at about 6'5" which equals 195.6cms.

In a few weeks time, I'm to attend a week long course over in Glasgow at QA training in Renfield Street, and their recommended parking places are the NCP car parks in either Mitchel Street or Oswald St, neither of which have the headroom!

Anyone local know of day long parking in the centre somewhere that can handle the height? preferably without requiring limb removal to pay for it.

I'm guessing that I will probably have to do something a bit like that, could bus from Edinburgh, just hate the things! Might take the train, but would like to know anyway, in case I go shopping in the big G some day.

Nearest open air one I know of is at Springfield Quay, just wondered if there was anything nearer 'cos I is lazy!

Well done for thinking about this before hand, I know this does not help you, but I just wanted to say, last week, I went into a place called Crawley (it really is as bad as the name makes it sound), and was happily about to drive into an NCP underground car park, when I noticed a 6" high, height limit sign at the bottom of the ramp. The trouble was, by the time you could see it, let alone try and read it, you were already committed too driving in. The small sign said it was only 5'6" clearance, and luckily no one was behind me, and I could reverse back out. and park in one of the more expensive short stay parking spaces out side. While paying at the meter, I had a good look round, and nowhere else was there any signs saying that there was such a low height limit. I measured my Terrano, and as it is loaded with the sort of stuff I normally carry, it is 6'1" to the top of the roof bars, so most 2metre (6'6") car parks are OK, apart from the aerial taking a bit of stick, but I was surprised to find one so low, with out them making a bit more of a song and dance about it.

you drive a nissan 4x4, park where the hell you want:lol

lol, I was off yesterday and only looked at the post with my phone - just clicked on the map link this morning - bit of a detour, but I like the idea! :clap

It is, but it should be quieter than trying to cut thru the city centre with it one ways and blooming buses:doh especially since the schools went back this morn.

I did wonder about this style of parking, not sure who gets the ticket in this case! :lol
