hI GUYS, I,M NEW TO YOUR SITE SO GO GENTLE WITH ME, I STRIPPED OUT MY FRONT AXLE N/S SWIVEL HOUSING ECT TO REPLACE THE OIL SEAL HAVING BOUGHT A KIT FROM A WELL KNOWN PARTS SUPPLY BUT FOUND THAT THE SEAL SUPPLIED DONT LOOK AS GOOD AS THE ONE I REMOVED IE ORIGINAL WHICH IS IN A STEEL HOUSING BUT THE ONE SUPPLIED WAS NOT? SO IVE ORDED A PAIR VIA NISSAN £30.41!!!!! .QUESTION AM I RIGHT TO GO WITH A GENUINE SEAL (AS I DONT WANT TO STRIP IT AGAIN! ALSO I JUST HAD A BLONDE MOMENT AND UNSURE WHICH WAY AROUND TO FIT IE SPRING IN VIEW AS FITTED OR AWAY FROM VIEW, HAS ANY BODY GOT ANY TIPS FOR GENERAL REASSEMBLY:doh

1st, Turn your caps lock off (Shouting anit nice). :eek:
2nd Its not always a good idea to fit something the way it came off as it may have been fitted wrong to start with. :doh
3rd, OEM parts wont look the same as the law prevents this due to copyright laws. :augie
and 4th look in the download section on here to find the correct way to fit them. There is also the full manual for instructions.:thumbs

Im sure someone will be along soon and tell you how they go in as they will have done them already. Just sit tight and wait. Its one of the jobs i have not had to do on mine yet so im not going to be any use to you on this one (In fact the wife says im not a lot of use at the best of times) :lol

If memory serves me right when i did mine years ago when i had an old patrol the steel ring part is meant to be reused as it seats the rubber seal in place
