quickie....anyone got a owner manual for 97 maverick? I realised mine is for pre 97, the older model, so the explantion of lights etc is wrong - io wanted to check what a certain light meant on the dash-i only saw it pop up briefly, but can remember where it was.

no,was top right i think, although my engine check light does pop on randomly sometimes, but that isnt bothering me at all right now as nothing is wrong.

Why buy the CD its available for - HERE

But if you've got a 2.7TD rather than a 2.7TDi - ie you don't have an intercooler - then it won't cover your engine, I've not seen one that does tbh.

I am confused my Mav is classified as a TD - however - it does have the intercooler i.e. raised air induction on bonnet.

then its a TDi, no question. Thats assuming you have the intercooler radiator immediately under the bulge and its not just a replacement bonnet of course!

When you say 'classified', by who/what?

2. MOT Certs also have had this listed 2.7.

3. On HPI Check the Model is listed as GLS 2.7 TD LWB and was first registered on 30 August 1997.

So deffinately not a replacement bonnet....

I'll have to check my paperwork out of interest, but you've got the i/c and possession is 9/10ths of the law as they say! LOL

Not sure what you mean about 9/10ths law, etc. Purchased Mav at persons house, got receipt and full service record. Surely I am like anyone else who buys a vehicle and signs as new owner and previous owner sends off V5 to DVLA.

Will be interested, and I am sure Clivvy will, what you discover.

well, mine IS the Tdi, but like you Dave, its listed as TD.

dunno to honest, maybe its something to do with the changeover from the older 1996 TD to the newer 96/97 onwards TDI's?? odd...
