I'll be preparing to change the engine oil soon. As a newcomer to both Nissans and Diesel engines any suggestion of what grade and make (synthetic, semi synthetic etc) is best for a 2.7td t2 ?

Is it every 9000 it should be done?

I dont mind stumping up the dosh for decent stuff.

Thanks

Can't help on exact grade but watch out cos you'll spill oil from the filter on the chassis leg and drips on the floor for ages if you don't clean it up.

Think i've got a way around that prob  mine needs doing so am going to place a bin bag over where the oil will spill & them place an old T shirt on top of it to soak up the oil  BTW old T shirts make great oil rags

but i stil wear my old T shirts

could wash them after i guess

hi all
you cant beat disposable nappies for soaking up spills
oil/water i use them under the boat engine, they are great as are baby wipes for cleaning your hands.
