Hi everyboby, just noticed i`ve got a leak a small one (the leak that is),think its coming from the oil pump, can i fix it or is it case `get a new pump`.
It`s only about a two pence size drip overnight is it worth the hass.

Below the steering pump is the injection pump and under that is the vacuum pump ( rather small with one large and one small pipe coming from it), do you mean the vacuum pump?.

looks like it`s joined to the sump at the bottom of the engine.

It's not your power steering cooler pipes is it which are below the rad as they are common to spring a leak  I would check to see what colour the oil is on the ground is

Any chance that you can get a picture of the offending part? Its just that the oil pump is inside the engine and not external.

were the power steering cooling pipe is bolted too the engine(next too the sump)is were the oil is coming from,it looks oil colour.

email it to me and I will sort it for you.

Ok here it is,

It’s a bit of a job to pin point the leak but there does appear to be a drip of oil on the bolt in the centre of the picture, looks like it may be coming from the timing case, also looks like its been apart before.
If it is the case leaking then its going to be a bit of a job to cure.
I could be totally wrong as the fan tends to blow the oil all over the place
I think the best thing you could do is to get a can of gunk and wash down the engine and then run it to look for signs of the leak.

If it's dripping over night after you have washed all the oil off I would give it a wipe over & then cover the area with talc as it will show up where it's coming from  I've done this a few time over the years with oil & water leaks & it helps to pin point the leak
