hi all does anyone know the correct oil for the rear diff anf which one for the auto box on 1996 mistral many thanks:nenau

It's nothing special other than a EP90 but MUST be the limited slip flavour, often signified by 'LS' . EG EP90LS SAE90LS 85w-90-LS etc.

Yep 2.8 litres on the old ones and 1.8 on the facelift with the later diff.

At £4.99 a litre.... Good price. :thumb2

It's what's in mine, did mine last month ready for the winter.

If it hasn't been changed for a while, it comes out a grey sludgy consistencey, from the wear of the clutch plates in the diff, this is normal.

However when I did mine last month, to be honest it looked ok, but changed it anyway.

TIP:
Undo the filler first in case you can't undo it later, then undo the drain.
Warm diff helps the draining.
Ordinary 1/2" square wrench end undos the filler. No special tools required.
