should the oil cooler go on the passenger side behind the radiator ?
cus all i have is pipework and no cooler ...

Didn't know there was an oil cooler? The 3.0L has a water to oil cooler I beleivebut thats attached to the engine.
You're not looking at the cooloing loop for the power steering are you. Just a loop of pipe.

the automatic has an oil cooler for the gearbox oil I believe....

possibly , assumed it was an oil cooler because of its location.
