changed all the oils on the terrano today and thanks to whoever it was that said about using a length of pipe for filling the gearbox,what a bloody good idea:thumbs:thumbs:thumbs

yes it makes life a lot easier.i ended up removing gear stick to refill.then a week later had to change oil cos used wrong grade. filled thro engine bay with hose took minutes brill idea.ive still to do tranny box and diffs weather permitting next weekend.

Have used section of garden hose with cut off of plastic drinks bottle on top to fill diff oil but recently bought cheapo funnell in Tesco with flexi pipe on bottom which is much tidier. Some of the smaller 1 or 2 ltr oil containers that diff oil sometimes comes in also have a nozzle top on them that won't allow the oil out until you squeeze the container. Very handy for reuse.
