Just done an oil change on the td42 and decided to change grade, normally i use 15/40 which is recomended for general use but when cold it does sound a bit tappy for a while so changed for high quality 10/40 and it sounds so much happier right from the start.. so thats the trans and engine done now just the axles to do...

Shell helix hx7 10/40 which i also used in my zd 30, the td42 are old school truck engines so are a bit agricultural in design but it responded really well and it now sounds like the oil gets around the engine really quickly on a cold morning..
