Reet oh guys I'm off to Ireland for a week's sailing. Competeing in the F18 Worlds in northern Ireland :D
Big fast cat racing is one of my hobbies and before my knees fall off I'm going to fight the Olympians and Pro sailors
There may be plenty of craic :naughty ( think that's how you spell it :lol )
For those interested this is what I do

He sadly can't work as an air port fireman any more due to ill health poor guy but is busy setting up his own fire station & is now covering some of the events held in Northern Ireland:D

Aye chat on FB a bit and he has a lot of toys :sly
Not sure how much fire safety cover we need at sea :nenau:lol

Those friction burns can be quite bad you know :augie:augie:lol

Now I really do NOT want a big burly fireman rubbing ointment on my friction burns thankyou
May checkout the first aid dollies though :naughty

Have fun mate, Don't drink too much sea water lol

About 25 mph I guess but they're fookin' leary then :naughty
Amongst the fastest sailing cats before you get on foils :sly

Fast enough then :lol

Ah, the old foils then.....yeah.....um, what's a foil :augie :augie

Like the Americas cup, boats on hydrofoils. They basically fly in/on the water.

That's awesome, they actually fly above the water :)

There must be very little wave affect on them when they are flying.

I used to sail fireballs and lasers and thought they were fast.......this new generation of hull design, composite materials etc......I think you need a pilots license these days not an RYA certificate:thumb2

Looks really great fun, enjoy and get a placing, but not for me, Rick

I'm back ;)

but broken  Awesome week's sailing against the best in the world :)
Turns out I'm top 40 material BUT took some serious wipeouts on the big wind day and ended 52 overall :clap
"IN THE WORLD" don't you know
my boat is also a bit old skool compared to the pro guys but what a blast . Learned so much my Mojo is bursting :naughty
See if this link works, it's filmed by one of my mates who was 39th
