did you know the ford mavericks speakers are completely different to the terrano? yes they are the same shape and the connectors are the same but thats it

2 ford speaker magnet is bigger

3 ford speaker made in UK by an unknown brand, with ford witten on it

4 nissan speaker made in Belgium by blaupunkt

5 ford speaker heavier 'better quality'

6 ford speaker has more cone flex, 'better bass






so after about 10 mins of me sitting comparing them, i can say ford's look, feel and sound better

in all fairness ur right. I hate to addmit it but the o/e speakers in my trol were sxxxe so just upgraded to some 5" bass drivers in front doors and 6 1/2" 3 ways in back. Had to make some spacer boads for front tho cus size of speaker magnets

yeah, Nissan's blaupunkt speakers are not that good, blaupunkt speakers are good, just not the ones they make for nissan:doh

Also, the cones seem to rot

Ford insisted on using their radio in the Mavericks, mine has a seperate ford amplifier under the drivers seat fitted from new, this gives out plenty of undistorted noise.

Makes retrofitting other radios more difficult though.

That's strange, dads 94 glx didn't. Just had a ford radio
